These Saving Tips Work at Old Navy, Banana Republic, & Gap

ou have to agree that Old Navy, Banana Republic, and Gap are pretty awesome places to stock up on good-quality clothes. Given that all three stores are owned by Gap Inc., there are a number of saving tips that could work in all three places. Here are some of the top ways to save when you shop at these stores.

Shop for at least $50 to meet the free shipping threshold:

If you don’t like spending money on shipping (and why would you?), it’s best to make your purchases in bulk so the total bill amount comes up to at least $50 and you qualify for free shipping. These stores also offer free shipping promotions from time to time, so it’s a good idea to sign up for the retailers’ emails to get notified about such promotions.

Combine your online orders from BNR, Old Navy, Athleta, and Gap:

Since all three stores are owned by the same company, customers can shop from these stores and combine their orders online. This is also another smart way to hit the $50 free shipping threshold.

Stack your coupons:

It’s a good idea to check if you can stack your coupons when shopping at any of these stores. Typically, you’ll be able to do this if you have different coupons, like a percent-off and a dollar-off coupon, but not if you have two similar coupons.

Use the store’s credit card:

Given that all three stores have the same parent company, you can use a credit card from any one of these stores to pay for what you buy from the other Gap Inc. stores. The reason you should do this is that you get 5 points for every dollar that you charge to the credit card. Once you collect 500 points, you get a reward of $5.

Opt for paperless billing and sign up for emails:

The store’s credit card will reward you with about 1,000 points if you sign up for paperless billing and their emails. This works out to be a $10 reward.

Don’t pay full price on an item:

Keep in mind that Old Navy usually marks down the prices of most of their items within 6 weeks of the original stock date, usually because they have some sort of promotion running. So, it’s a good idea to not purchase items that are at full price.
